No Volunteer Left Behind
Where have you been? Summit couldn’t exist without volunteers like you, but our pool needs widening. The reservoir of skill, talent, and energy among residents is underutilized. Fresh blood also relieves long-timers from double duty in more than one organization.
I’m eager to start your civic involvement. Please download an official Volunteer Form indicating possible areas of interest. There are over thirty boards, committees, and commissions to choose from.
Each year approximately 20 people receive appointments. Increasingly we discover new ways to accommodate working spouses, like scheduling duplicate events – daytime and evenings. Or offer volunteer activities that require a brief commitment. Or give you entrepreneurial freedom to carry out ideas independently.
The City’s future depends on our ability to attract caring individuals committed to the common good. Let me know when your Application is submitted and I’ll shepherd it through City Hall.
